The band have performed all over the world for several years and now embark on their biggest ever UK tour.

The Police were arguably the biggest band on the planet between 1977 and 1983, achieving 5 number one hits on both sides of the Atlantic.
Sting then went on to be one of the most acclaimed solo songwriters of his generation.

From Roxanne and Every Breath You Take to Fields of Gold and Englishman in New York,
all the hits are reproduced with stunning authenticity and vocal accuracy.

Songbird: A Celebration of Eva Cassidy honours and pays tribute to one of America's most renowned singers, who found posthumous fame with her heartfelt and spellbinding interpretations of classic songs, including ‘Over The Rainbow’, ‘Fields of Gold’, and ‘Songbird’.

The show is performed by four world-class jazz musicians and passionate Eva Cassidy fans, blending their own artistic interpretations with Eva’s classic renditions for a moving and unforgettable musical experience.

The Empire Social Club is a warm, welcoming get-together at Blackburn Empire Theatre, created to bring people together through Community • Friendship • Fun. Takes place from 2pm to 4pm.

Running every two weeks, it’s open to anyone who fancies a relaxed couple of hours out – whether you’re coming along with friends or popping in on your own to meet new people.
Expect a friendly atmosphere with a mix of light activities and social time – from games like Scrabble, dominoes, cards and sudoku, to themed “fun sessions” such as crafts, art and other easy-going activities. Or simply enjoy a good chat over a brew.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are available, with a suggested £2 donation to support future social and volunteer activities.

Free to attend – no need to book – just turn up.
