A Purr-fect Family Pantomime Following last year's record breaking run of "Aladdin", Pendle Productions are delighted to be returning to the Blackburn Empire once again. Dick Whittington is set to have more sparkle, more dazzle and more magic than you could ever imagine.

Blackburn Empire Theatre has today been awarded £108,000 as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure they have a sustainable future, the Culture Secretary has announced.

Blackburn Empire Theatre was built on a dream on by a group of local volunteers to convert an abandoned cinema into a community theatre and asset.

The Blackburn Empire Theatre has announced that its production of Dick Whittington and his Cat will go ahead this Christmas.
