Fans of legendary blues and rock guitar are in for a treat when Forever Clapton arrives at the Blackburn Empire Theatre this April.
This brand-new production for 2026 celebrates the music and extraordinary career of Eric Clapton, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential guitarists of all time.
Taking to the stage at the Empire on Saturday 11 April 2026, the show is performed by acclaimed guitarist Benny Smith and his fully live six-piece band. Together, they recreate the unmistakable sound and style that made Clapton a global icon.
The production takes audiences on a musical journey through more than five decades of music, exploring Clapton’s career from the mid-1960s through to the present day. From the blues-driven sound of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, to the groundbreaking rock of Cream, the soulful era of Derek and the Dominos, and the iconic acoustic performances that brought his music to a whole new audience.
Expect to hear many of Clapton’s best-known songs performed live, including Layla, Cocaine, I Shot the Sheriff, Crossroads, Lay Down Sally and Holy Mother, alongside visuals that tell the story of his remarkable career.
Running for almost two hours, Forever Clapton is a powerful celebration of timeless music from a true guitar legend.
