The Blackburn Empire Access Register

What is the Blackburn Empire Access Register?

We understand that asking our customers to telephone our box office to discuss accessibility, can also act as a barrier to access, so Blackburn Empire has been working hard to make your visit to the theatre more accessible. We are pleased, to announce the Blackburn Empire Access Register.

With this new system, we are able to more accurately meet your needs and also enable to use our online booking system for more of your bookings.

How does it work?

You complete a simple online form and send it to us online. If you need help completing the form, you can call our box office or visit our box office (Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm)

How does it improve accessibility?

Once your application is approved, you will receive extra options when booking tickets online (such as free essential companion tickets, when available or access to wheelchair seating areas) and, if you choose to book in person or by phone, our team will already know that you are on the Register and will be able to help you more quickly and efficiently, whilst taking your accessibility needs into account. You will receive details in a welcome email.

Registration must be completed in Advance

Due to the administration of the system, it can take up to 72 hours to process your application, so if you think you may be visiting the Blackburn Empire in the future, we recommend you register now. Our box office are not able to process applications from the box office before a show and are unable to issue companion tickets, unless you have applied and been added to the Register before arrival at a show. This is to protect your privacy and ensure the system is not abused.
