We were thrilled to be asked to be featured on BBC Breakfast this week, when Nina Warhurst joined us to do several outside broadcasts from the theatre.
The programme was highlighting the importance of panto to small theatres across the country.
Nina, chatted with JezO and then even volunteered to put herself in the guillotine! Although she was a little shaken, the theatre even made celebrity website Hello, with the fun stunt.
Our Chairman, Michael Berry, chatted about the importance of panto and how important our volunteers and our dedicated team of staff are to the theatre’s survival.
Nina went on to chat with our Ugly Sisters, who nearly got us in trouble with everyone in Wigan and also chatted to Linda Lusardi and Lucy Kane about the importance of family at Christmas.
We’d like to thank the team from BBC Breakfast for featuring the theatre and all the dedicated team at the Empire who had to get up at 4am!
