Stepping into the Spotlight at Blackburn Empire Shades of Orbison

Shades of Orbison are a trio with full live band celebrating the life and music of the iconic rock-balladeer… ‘The Big O’ Roy Orbison!

The talented trio of professional musicians aim to transport the audience to another time and place, taking you on a journey through the life and hits of the one and only Roy Orbison.

Roy Orbison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, just a year before his untimely death. His skill in creating the “Nashville Sound” led to his unique musical style with classic hits such as Only the Lonely, Oh, Pretty Woman, Crying, It’s Over, I Drove All Night, You Got It, It’s Over and Blue Bayou.

Danny King, who recreates the sound of the legend in the show “Shades of Orbison” said: “Together we make one awesome sound celebrating the greatest hits of ‘The Big O’ and we love nothing more than taking our audiences back to those incredible days in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

“We know that we’ve captured that true sound when we see the audience singing along to the timeless classics with smiles on their faces.”

Shades of Orbison comes to Blackburn Empire on Saturday 8th June and tickets are just £15.
