Santa needs you to bring more Christmas Cheer to town!

Thwaites Empire Theatre have joined forces with Santa Claus this Christmas to appeal for people to spread some extra Christmas Cheer this festive season.

The local theatre, produces over 70 performances of their pantomime every year and it brings a whole heap of extra Christmas magic to the town and Santa has a message!

Speaking from the North Pole, Santa said, “Ho! Ho! Ho! The pantomime is almost as much a part of Christmas as I am and it makes me happy to know that generations of children and families continue to enjoy it. This year, more than ever, I need people to help the Empire Theatre in Blackburn. The theatre is run by run by a small number of highly trained staff and many, many, volunteers and when flying over Blackburn in my sleigh during my test runs for Christmas Eve I have noticed that they need some extra help.”

Whilst feeding a carrot to Rudolf, Santa continued, “Volunteering at the Empire is a great way to being extra Christmas fun to children at this time of year and just like my busy elves, there are lots of jobs to do! You could work in the box office, the bar, helping customers or behind the scenes.

“If Blackburn could help me out by contacting the theatre, it would be another “Christmas Cheer” job ticked off my very long list. You could even share this message on Facebook with your friends if you want to be good and not go on my naughty list.”

Santa added, “Ho! Ho! Ho!”
