Pantomime stars bring a Festive Feeling to Summer Time Festival

Stars of this year’s Pantomime at Thwaites Empire Theatre, Jack and the Beanstalk, will be bringing some festive fun to this week’s Countryside Comes to Town Festival in Blackburn Town Centre.

The Festival which takes place on Saturday 20th June 2015 across the town centre, sees a range of countryside attractions bringing good “green” family fun to the town.

Sarah the Cook and Daisy the Cow, stars of the Thwaites Empire Theatre’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk, will be meeting the crowds in the afternoon during the festival. The theatre’s pantomime is always extremely popular and this year’s show will be produced by Pendle Productions who have been behind some of the theatre’s most popular family shows and pantomimes.

Michael Berry, Chairman of the Thwaites Empire Theatre, said, “We are thrilled to have launched our pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, for 2015 which will run from 2 December 2015 right through to 3 January 2016. Tickets are already selling fast and our specially priced family deals are proving extremely popular. It will be fun to see our festive panto stars at the heart of a summer festival.”

Countryside Comes to Town, which is organised by Blackburn Business Improvement Distrcit (BID), is expecting thousands of people to flood into the town centre to enjoy a range of attractions and meet CBeebies star Mr Bloom.

Tickets for Jack and the Beanstalk are on sale now and available from here or from the box office 01254 685 500 (Monday to Saturday 10am to 12:30pm)
