Children found that it doesn’t matter where you are this Christmas when the panto came to them.
Stars from pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at Thwaites Empire Theatre brightened up the weekend for children, parents and staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The cast from the festive show visited the Children’s Unit at the hospital in between the matinee and evening performances of the show on Saturday. Stacey Coleman, Ian Hayles, Callum Arnott and Suzanne Fulton brought their Christmas alter egos, Jack, Dame Trott, Simple Simon and Fairy Twinkle to life in full costume with their own brand of comedy and fun to give youngsters a Christmas boost.
Tim Lince, writer and director of Pendle Productions, who have produced the panto said, “We were so pleased to be welcomed to the Children’s Unit at the hospital to bring a sprinkle of Christmas magic to the ward.
“It was an inspiration to see the positive attitude of the children, parents and staff. The welcome they gave us was wonderful.”
Jack and the Beanstalk runs until 3 January 2016 and tickets can be purchased online here or by calling the box office on 01254 685 500 (Monday to Saturday 10am to 12:30pm)
