We had the sad news this week of the death of one of our past volunteers, Mr Jim Kendall.
In the early days when our Theatre was in its infancy, Jim was a regular volunteer, supporter and patron of the Blackburn Empire Theatre and not only did he attend shows regularly too, he used to bring visitors to the performances.
James passed away on 29th February at Royal Blackburn Hospital where he had been admitted from his home. He had previously been a resident at Springfield care home on and off for nearly 12 months. We have fond memories and he will be missed.
We do not have any details from his family yet regarding funeral arrangements.
