Open auditions for talented performers to star in Blackburn Pantomime

Thwaites Empire Theatre are inviting talented youngsters to audition for a part in the annual festive pantomime at the community venue.

Producers Pendle Productions will be holding open auditions on Sunday, 9th October for talented youngsters between the ages of 5 and 21 who can sing, dance and act to make up one juvenile team.

Registration and auditions to take part in Sinbad start at 11am at the community venue on Aqueduct Road, Blackburn.

There will be seven teams of juvenile dancers as the production runs for 70 performances throughout the festive season.

Those who are successful during the auditions will start work with the professional cast on Sunday, 16th October.

This year’s swashbuckling spectacular in association with Pendle Productions kicks off with floating mermaids, acrobatic monkeys and all the traditional pantomime characters on Wednesday, 30th November until Saturday, 7th January.

The professional cast will be arriving in a couple of weeks and there will be a few familiar faces in this swashbuckling adventure for those who attended last year’s pantomime.

Pantomime comic Callum Arnott will be back playing the entertaining role of Tinbad. Stacey Coleman is also returning to the theatre due to popular demand alongside Kiven Dene, Becci Pearson and Ian Fox from Shrek the Musical who will be playing Dame Salubria Fatima.
