Enchanting ‘Narnia’ Production Roars into Blackburn

Step through the wardrobe into the land of Narnia during a magical play at one of Blackburn’s most popular entertainment venues on Sunday, 13th November.

Following 2015’s sell-out UK tour of ‘The Snow Queen’, APL Theatre is back with a brand new adaptation of the C.S. Lewis classic which will be showing at Thwaites Empire Theatre in the run up to the festive season.

Audience members can enjoy a taste of the magical world of Narnia during two showings of ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ at 1pm and 6pm.

The production tells the tale of four young evacuees Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy who are sent to a mysterious country mansion where they discover a portal to an amazing new world through an enchanted wardrobe.

Narnia is a wondrous land where mythical creatures roam and animals speak. Journey with the ’Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve’ in C.S. Lewis’ timeless tale as they’re transported to the magical world where they must help the majestic lion Aslan defeat the White Witch and save the kingdom.

Chairman of the Thwaites Empire Theatre, Michael Berry, said: “It is essential in such a story for the production to take the audience along on the journey, and this version does so admirably.”
