Elvis fans in the area will be treated to an evening of classics when “Happy Birthday Elvis” celebrates the birthday of the King of Rock and Roll at The Empire Theatre this month.
The theatre hosts two concerts every year featuring the music of “The King”, one as a Happy Birthday and one to commemorate his passing.
The Empire is thrilled to welcome back Paul Molloy for this special concert. Paul, who is recognised as one of the best Elvis tribute acts in the country, has won numerous awards and performs the hits of Elvis from the early days in the 1950s, through to his much-loved movie career and the razzle dazzle of Vegas in the 70s.
Being a fan of Elvis and his amazing legacy from an early age, Paul went on to discover his ability to recreate the sound of “The King” and to enjoy portraying his career throughout the many different eras and styles.
Michael Berry, chairman of the Empire Theatre, said, “Elvis’ music is as popular as ever and we are so pleased that Paul is able to bring his music to life in such an exciting and accurate way. Audiences simply love his performances.”
