Doris the Dragon brings her Fiery Friends to the Empire!

Doris The Dragon Show is a fast-paced show full of giddy games, silly slapstick and lots of giggles and is coming to the Empire on Thursday 20th April 2017.

Created for children up to 10 years old, the show follows the antics of Doris’s fiery dragon friends and features lots of interaction between cast, puppets and audience throughout. Starring Doris, Dougal, Daisy, Dillon and Dusty the show is created and performed by the former producer of Sooty and Rainbow theatre tours Jonathan Blazer who plays the part of the ‘Dragon Catcher’ in the production.

The owners of a dingy old castle that Doris has been protecting move out so Doris decides to put the empty castle to good use! When an inexperienced Dragon Catcher arrives at the castle, Doris inspires him to ditch his job and together they transform the castle into a home for down and out dragons.

News spreads quickly about the new den and dragons from all over the country arrive at the castle eager to show off their various talents. However, mischief ensues when Doris’s new fiery family take turns looking after an unhatched baby dragon egg!

The puppets are very unique and their individual characters stand out well, with plenty of audience participation, modern music and jokes combined, Doris The Dragon Show is a sure-fire hit.
