A cake sale and coffee morning will be taking place at the Thwaites Empire Theatre on Saturday, 17th September to raise money for cancer charity Macmillan.
The event has been organised by the volunteers at the entertainment venue and the money raised will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Research.
It runs from 10:30am to 12.30pm and those attending are encouraged to bring homemade cakes to donate on the day.
Chairman at the Thwaites Empire Theatre, Michael Berry, said: “We are asking the local community to support the coffee morning which has been organised to raise money for a great cause.
“We must all know people who have needed the services of the Macmillan Nurses so come along and bring your money!”
The annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, which has raised more than £138 million, takes places across the country to help raise money to allow Macmillan to support cancer patients.
