A group of East Lancashire’s most talented stars will get the chance to show off their creative flair with a summer showcase at one of Blackburn’s most popular venues.
Performing arts school, Class Act, is busy preparing for a spectacular showcase featuring a range of musical entertainment including ballet, tap, acting and drumming performed by youngsters aged 11 – 18.
The ‘Summer Showcase’ takes place on Saturday, July 18 from 7.00pm at Thwaites Empire Theatre based on Aqueduct Road, Blackburn.
Jennifer Hodkinson, Principle of Class Act, has over 30 years’ experience in the performance industry, she said: “Being a part of the Class Act show is such a special experience for the children performing particularly if it’s their first time on stage or even in a theatre.
“We hope the locals come along and see the talent of these youngsters and also support the theatre.
“We do these shows each year and our reward is the audience being entertained!”
Local estate agents, Keenans, have sponsored the showcase which marks the end of the pupil’s term at drama school by donating £500 to help fund the performance.
All money raised from ticket sales will go towards the essential maintenance of the Theatre.
Tickets cost £5 for children and £10 for adults and are available on the website at thwaitesempiretheatre.co.uk or from the box office 01254 685 500 Monday to Saturday 10am to 12:30pm.
