Blackburn Empire Panto Tickets on Sale Now… Oh Yes They Are!

TICKETS for the annual Christmas pantomime at the Thwaites Empire Theatre have been put on sale early for 2016 in the wake of success.

After a record-breaking run of Jack and the Beanstalk in 2015/16, with 14,000 tickets sold and sell-out school performances, tickets for this year’s production of Sinbad have been placed on sale.

The run will start earlier than usual on Wednesday, 30th November, with 70 performances over the course of the festive season ending on Saturday, 7th January 2017.

Last year’s production, Jack and the Beanstalk, received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback.

Chairman of the Thwaites Empire Theatre, Michael Berry, said: “We can’t wait to bring the audience of Blackburn another first class traditional pantomime for the whole family to enjoy.

“We have already received a number of group bookings and we are expecting tickets to sell quickly.

“We hope the community will come along to this fun filled, sing along show which will have you cheering, booing and shouting along in the best panto traditions.”

This year, theatre goers will follow Sinbad, his brother Tinbad and his mother Dame Salubria Fatima as they set out to rescue the beautiful Princess Pearl who has been kidnapped by Sinistra and his Henchmen Pirates.

Sinbad’s quest is to save the Princess from a horrible fate and return a Magic Crystal to its rightful owner who is a Mermaid.

There are songs to be sung, dances to be danced and boos to be shouted in the traditional family pantomime that promises plenty of magic, excitement, love and adventure.

General tickets are priced £15 for adults, £10 for a child, £44 for a family and £12 for OAPs.
