80’s night of Dirty Dancing at the Empire

Fans of the 80’s box office hit, Dirty Dancing can enjoy the ultimate tribute to the film made famous by the sizzling performances of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray when a multi-talented cast bring the film to life with a song and dance spectacular at the Thwaites Empire Theatre.

A Night of Dirty Dancing is performed at the venue at Ewood on Sunday 19 April celebrating the film of the same name which boasts one of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time. All the hits are superbly performed in this fast-moving, slickly-choreographed theatrical treat including: She’s Like the Wind, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes and, of course, the Oscar-winning (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.

Theatre Chairman, Michael Berry said, ‘The whole world loves Dirty Dancing.  As well as being a smash in the cinemas it was the first movie to sell 1 million videos, a number one single and album sales of 42 million worldwide, Dirty Dancing is truly iconic entertainment.’
